Reading Respomse

This week we read, 'Writing an Argument' this reading is important to our class because we are getting ready to write our argument papers, as well as our own Op-eds. In this reading it talks about how some people think that argument is a bad thing. While in other cultures argument is a sign of commitment, "argument is deemed as boring." (203) This reading also gives visual help as to how to gather information for writing either an argument paper, or an Op-ed. Those visuals will come in handy when we are staring to write our own.
This reading is important to this class because we are starting to write our own argument papers, and this will help us come up with ideas for where to start. Also this will be helpful, because it shows us that arguing is a large part of the news papers, some of the things that are printed are printed to make people think about things in a way that can get them worked up.
